—Product Description
Q195 is a low-carbon structural steel. Its chemical composition requirements are as follows (maximum values or ranges):
Element Carbon (C) Manganese (Mn) Silicon (Si) Sulfur (S) Phosphorus (P) Deoxidation Method
Content ≤0.12% ≤0.50% ≤0.30% ≤0.050% ≤0.045% Rimmed Steel (F) or Killed Steel (Z)
Notes:
Low-Carbon Design: Extremely low carbon content (≤0.12%) ensures excellent weldability and cold formability, but with relatively low strength.
Impurity Control: Strict limits on sulfur and phosphorus to avoid hot and cold brittleness.
Deoxidation Methods:
Rimmed Steel (F): Low cost, good surface quality, but with internal segregation.
Killed Steel (Z): Uniform composition and stable mechanical properties, suitable for critical structural components.
Mechanical properties of Q195 (for plate thickness ≤16mm):
Property Requirement
Notes:
Thickness Effect: Yield strength and elongation slightly decrease with increasing plate thickness (refer to standard classifications).
Typical Condition: Generally supplied in hot-rolled condition, requiring no heat treatment to meet properties.
Cold Bending Performance: Q195 exhibits excellent cold bending properties, suitable for complex stamping and bending processes.
