III. Key Influencing Factors

Alloying Elements

Cu, Zn, Mg: Enhance strength by forming strengthening phases (e.g., Al₂Cu, MgZn₂).

Si: Improves fluidity (casting performance).

Mn, Cr: Refine grains and enhance corrosion resistance.

Processing Techniques

Cold Working (e.g., drawing, rolling): Increases strength via work hardening.

Heat Treatment: T6 treatment can increase the strength of 6061 alloy by approximately 3 times.
